The first top story was about Obama who is flying under the radar as the Republicans fight it out. He is trying to work on his campaign message as they fight over the nomination.

The second story was about the European countries downgrading. But France is unaffected by these changes. France still has a triple A rating, France also has the best outlook on its debt.

The third top story was about a man that was accused of poisoning his wife to kill her. It was said that he put the poison in her Rice Krispies. But before she ate the cereal she noticed a funny smell in the smell then reported it.

Top 3 Stories 1/13

The first top story was about a Russian spacecraft that will crash into the Indian Ocean. This will happen on sunady of this week. It weighs about 14.6 tons and is very toxic, it is said that it will disappear into the ocean after it crashes.

The second top story today was about the big snow storm that has finally hit the Mid-West. Most of this winter the temprature has stayed 10-to-12 degrees above normal. This snow storm may continue until next week.

The third story of the day was about 12 comapanies that toal have collected 6.5 billion dollars together from the federal goverment. These companies used the money to become cleaner companies but its starting to look like these plans are not paying off.

The first story was about the stock market and how it rises and lowers in a presidential election year. Many thinkl that they will rise as the elections are under way. But research shows that they actually start to go down.

The second story was about Romney again and how his election run on the east coast might have not been a fair fight. This is because this area he has worked in before and also gained alot of support for his work in the past. So people think he still has to be truely tested yet.

The third story was about Japan starting to buy less oil from Iran. This is because they are trying to support the U.S.'s push on buying less oil from Iran and to start looking into other places that have oil.

The first story was about the affect of marijuana on the lungs. AMny researchers say that it may not have any harmful effects on some ones lungs. It is also been shown to be a helpful substance to help problems that are hard to control with other things.

The second story today was about the company that makes Twinkies. Hostess will befilling for bankruptcy this year. Thats because the company is 860 million dollars in debt. They just recovered from filling 2 years ago.

The third story was about Romney. He is still climbing which is making people to think he is the one who is going to get the nomination.

The first top story was about how that people don't quit smoking for good by using gum or patches. This is beacause they don't have enough power to stop. One third of the people who use these ways end up relapsing.

The second story was about Romeny who keeps climbing the poll standings. Many don't think that any of the other canidates will be able to catch up to him. Many also think he will get the nomination.

The third story was about was about two men that were arrested monday for making terror threats. Many threats have came out ever sense the 9/11 attacks. Which has caused many goverments to crack down on people making the threats.

 This cartoon character tries to show that all male Hispanic people wear sombreros and that they are really fast. The sombrero part comes from their culture, it has been part of their culture to protect you from the sun. The running part comes from people thinking that they run fast  to out run the law. Thats because people from Mexico try to get into the U.S. and they have to out run the law to get to the U.S.

Positive Stereotypes

 This is showing a stereotype of male and female asian kids are becoming really smart kids. It is a positive because it is tries to show how smart kids are starting to become in Asia. This stereotype comes about because in Asia they make their kids study hard because they don't want to see them fail.
